Smoke Cloud of Addiction

Take another drag from your cigarette,
Burn your lungs with the chemistry learned in school.
Watch the ashes fall away,
It's suicide, just to be cool.

But I bet you haven't considered,
That when you've grown old and ill,
This nicotine-based addiction,
Will claim your childre to kill.

Smoke and ash together,
will make a weapon way too strong,
for the human will to counter,
after years of doing wrong.

So while you're young and vibrant,
Crush this murderer where it sits,
Or it'll curse you where you stand,
And one day tear your lungs to bits.

The source of pain and sorrow,
Is now in your hands to tame.
I've posted my will against it,
and I would hope you do the same.
